If anywhere near the falls, it is definitely worth seeing. Very similar to the High Falls in Grand Portage, MN just an hour away, but very accessible to see and without stairs to climb or a long hike. Allow an hour at least to walk around and see from various vantage points. Sit and just enjoy the beauty, sound and... More

I was fortunate enough to see the falls after many days of rain, so the waterway was engorged and roaring. I was informed that this is not always the case, and that sometimes the flow is cut to nearly a trickle by both the hydroelectric plant further up the river and generally low water levels. Still, seeing it today, I... More

About 20 miles north of Thunder Bay, the mighty 40 meter high Kakabeka Falls is a marvel. You have just a short walk from the parking lot to the falls. Access to these lovely falls is excellent on well-maintained boardwalks and platforms as well as a bridge crossing above the Kaministiquia River as it plunges over the falls and into... More

It's like a mini Niagra. How amazing these falls are and very impressive! The water was a brownish color, and our host told our daughter that it was Dr. Pepper. She believed him.. was funny. I have to say this was one of the highlights of our tour. So beautiful. The gift shop could have more gifts in it. I... More

We had been debating whether to include Kakabeka falls in our itinerary for our family's 20 day Trans Canada Road Odyssey from Toronto to the Rockies and back, a 15,000 km trip. In the end, since we found we could make a slight detour from Thunder Bay to see Kakabeka Falls and proceed to Quetico Provincial Park on the same... More

This attraction is close to a nice parking lot, and the Provincial Park system charges $4 Canadian per hour per carload. The four of us spent a fun-packed hour viewing these very impressive falls from all sorts of angles and taking a hoard of photos. This 40 meter (131 ft) fall is extremely impressive, and the day we were there,... More

There are times in your life when you wonder if the admission price will match your expectations, but in this case they do. The falls are fantastic and the grounds are worth a walk around.

This is a wonderful place to visit and take pictures, if you have a trailer/camper they have lovely spots to park your RV. The far side of the falls when you walk across the bridge often offers a bit of a mist on your body if the wind is blowing just right. Great relaxing place to visit and have lunch

These falls were absolutely beautiful. Very nice paths to see all views of the falls. I read from someone else's review to cross the bridge and see the falls from the other side as well. That is a definite must. It was $2.50 US money.
