I was traveling by weekend tourist train from Bangkok. It cost 120 baht for return. The train crosses over sections of the death railway (Burma Railway) and River Kwae bridge . This waterfall is located at the end of train journey. The train stops here for 2 hours and all the tourists had food and relaxed. There are many restaurants inside the national park and outside; some other shops are also there. The entry to this national park is free; tourists can swing or take bath under the waterfalls. There is parking area outside the park for those are driving here. Better to carry umbrella and additional cloths.

Don't bother. The waterfalls were nice, I have seen better but my god it was busy and so dirty. Maybe because it was a Sunday but the place was flooded with Thai families making so much noise, having picnics and throwing rubbish everywhere. You could not appreciate the nature. There are loads of food stalls as well. I personally think that they need to look after a natural area. Total mess. Free entrance. If you are in the area but definitely do not make a special trip. We might have just been there on the wrong day, Sunday the busiest day but I certainly did not enjoy the experience.

Forget about if you are looking for waterfalls. If you like to walk or caves than ok otherwise a waste of 300 Thai bath. You have better waterfalls for free (i.e.Sai Yok Noi)

Located just beside highway 323, it is easily accessible by walking up the steps of the hill. Ample parking on the sides and in the middle of the highway. Lots of people congregated at this falls may be due to easy accessibility by road or train. Train from Thonburi Railways Station to Sai Yok Noi Waterfall is around 4 hours and 54 mins.
Water at this falls is not so clear but still a place for some fun time for families and friends. Opposite the waterfalls, there are souvenir shops and food stalls. Almost all the shops selling the same thing as floats, drinks, and tidbits. Nothing much to explore.

We took s boat trip up the river from our hotel and saw the lovely national park with lots of beautiful birds including the kingfisher. We passed a small waterfall where locals were swimming and then saw Sai Yok Yao. It is not that large but it is fairly wide and there was a good flow. We landed and went to a lookout on the opposite shore. A nice fall but not worth a special trip.

SAI YOK NOI WATERFALL
Tenasserim Hills, Trunk road 323, Sai Yok District, Kachanaburi, Thailand.
Sai Yok District is 60 km from the town of Kachanaburi near the border with Burma. Sai Yok National Park is home to rich forests, mountains and waterfalls. At the edge of the park is Sai Yok Noi Waterfall which is the most popular attraction with both locals and tourists because of its beauty and accessibility. The waterfall is just next to the trunk route 323 and there are ample car parks and the bus that runs along this route has bus stops right on the door-step. It takes about an hour and 10 minutes from the provincial town of Kanachanburi and the fare is 40 bhats. The bus runs regularly from 6.45 am to 6 pm and we took the same bus to Hell Fire Pass. From the Nam Tok station that is 2 km from the Waterfall, the train runs from Kanachanburi for only 17 bhat three times at 6.11 am, 11.00 am, and 4.37 pm and returns at 5.25 am, 1.00 pm, and 3.15 pm.
The old Nam Tok station is at the foot of the Sai Yok Noi Waterfall. Nam Tok in Thai means waterfall and the old engine 702 still sits on a very short stretch of existing line. 702 saw service during the Death Railway from 1945. Few People notice it but a replica of the Bridge of the River Kwai crosses a stream of the waterfall, the end of the line. Next to the disused rail tracks stood a little shrine that is popular with the local people. You need no direction as you can see the waterfall from the roads and there are signs leading to the source and other areas.
Beside the road just opposite Sai Yok Noi Waterfall are restaurants and shops. Several nearby hotels are the Baanrai Saiyoknoi Resort (S$27) 1.1 km, Blue Mountain Resort (S$42) 0.9 km, Yayee Homestay (S$34) 0.8 km, Chokchai Hotel (S$25) 1 KM. One of the upmarket top choice hotel is the River Kwai Jungle Rafts that offers floating accommodation by the Kwai Noi River 2.9 km away. For S$263 three meals are served per day.

Total waste of time. We are dropped off in the middle of the road, and there is some stairs up (literally just beside the road).. met by a display train, turn left to walk in.. and we saw a big rock, which is supposed to b the waterfall (with no water 😱).. and there isn't anything else in the area.. its not even a park..
supposed we went in the wrong season??

Visited today with my wife but told there is a dual pricing policy for foreigners. We decided not to go in as we do not agree with this system
