Ms. “A” makes a real cooking party out of this experience! Starting at the local market for the groceries, ending in the cooking studio….. and eating the creations you cooked! Was great fun!

We had such a fantastic evening in Baan Hongnual Cookery School. Ae collected us from our hotel brought us to a market to pick up some of the ingredients we needed and then brought us to her lovely cookery school. Ae and her colleagues were so helpful and nice to us all. She explained everything so well, helped us make dishes which were delicious and appropriate for both children and adults. We ate everything we cooked and the cookery fairies did the washing up!!! Fantastic! Ae gave us a copy of the lovely cookbook which was such a great touch. Would highly recommend

We visited Baran Hongnual Cookery as a school group. Our instructor first brought us to a local outdoor market to pick up ingredients. We then prepared four dishes, each very authentic and delicious. We made spring rolls, pad Thai, soup, and sticky rice with mango. I can’t imagine a better introduction to the people, the flavors, and the region.

We went to cookery school on the last night of our trip to Thailand before our holiday was cut short by Covid 19. We were collected from our hotel and taken on an interesting excursion. We visited a local market full of colour and an exciting range of every sort of fruit veg and creature you can imagine. We chose our ingredients together and learned about different herbs and spices and combinations of flavours. At the school we were taken through the preparation of the food and taught how to create a truly authentic Thai supper ... with a chilled Thai beer. Great end to our adventure.

We had an absolutely delightful experience with Amporn at her Baan Hongnual Cookery School. Even though our train arrived late in Chiang-Mai, our GAdventures CEO arranged for a private class for our group of 5. So this amazing, fun, energetic and knowledgeable woman picked us up from our hotel and off we go to a local market in a tuk-tuk. Very fun and informative and the market was clean and not crowded. Amporn was a master at orchestrating all the steps, ingredients and methods for the 5 of us and we managed to skillfully create a wonderful array of dishes that we enjoyed in her wonderfully green space. Must admit that the padthai that each one of us made, was the best we had ever tasted! A bonus is a tour with her in her herb garden and the cooking book that each one of us received from her. We will try and reproduce some of the recipes and reminisce our delightful time at Amporn's cooking school. Thank you, Amporn.

An amazing experience. Start with a trip to the market for the evenings dinner ingredients. Off to the school to learn how to make the most wonderful Thai dishes. The school is well equipped and the instructors are fun and knowledgeable. A must do if you like Thai cooking.

My wife and I are on our honeymoon and our tour operator booked this private cooking class for us. It’s located about 15 minutes from the Old City, and I couldn’t ask for a better experience.
First, you stop at the market and meet your teacher (who is hilarious and speaks excellent English), where you shop for the perfect groceries and choose your dishes. Then it’s another minute or two to the school.
The classroom is in a small covered building, surrounded by fruit trees, plantings, and flowers. There are tables and about 20 gas cooking stations. The breeze is delightful. Overall, the experience and ambience was top notch.
Did I mention the instruction, food, and fun were practically sublime. Our teacher was unbelievably knowledgeable. She’s a former English teacher with a great sense of humor. She coached us every step of the way.
This must be one of the best cooking schools in the area. We had so much fun!

We did a cooking class as an option on a tour we were on. It was a really great experience. They picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off in the old town area of Chiang Mai so we could go to a few temples. The cooking itself was a highlight of our trip. We went to the market to see how it worked & picked up a few fresh items. We each had our own burner and wok along with the ingredients to make each dish. We had choices that we could make and as we finished each dish, we ate it. The food was great and by dessert we were stuffed. At the end we were given a cook book that had some of the dishes we had made. Well worth the cost, this was a very good value and I highly recommend it.

I was lucky enough to spend my Thanksgiving day taking a Thai cooking class! I loved the entire experience from beginning to end. From visiting the market where locals shop to prepping and cooking my meal to then eating my meal. KhruNai was very nice and kept us all laughing the entire time. I would highly suggest taking this northern Thai cooking class!

Is there a website for this school to learn more about the classes? The link in the profile does not seem to work. A friend recommended the school and I'd love to check it out.
Thanks,
Eileen
