Drive up to Soi Dao north of Chanthaburi. The turning is to the left and a km or 2 down that road you enter the Khao Soi Dao National Park. Park shortly after the entrance next to the lowest level of the waterfall.

There are 16 levels of the waterfall.

We intended walking just to the first or 2nd level but slightly got lost on the trail and ended up at level 9. Wasn’t much water being the end of the dry season, but it was a lovely walk, hard, through the forest.

Please note there seems to be alternative spellings of Soi Dao and Sai Dao.

The waterfall is well worth the hike up to it. I climbed this in the wet season which makes it especially challenging. The focus was for birds as well but there were very few in evidence, the best being oriental pied hornbill at the start of the climb off the flat section. The massive (and poisonous) black and yellow orb spiders were common along the trail and I would walk with a stick ahead of me to avoid the copious web clinging to my face (and allowed me to move the spider away too). Took a slight slip high up so be careful at all times. Some helpful ropes are set up at the toughest parts. Oh and no leeches at all was a bonus!
