Aston Pottery is a multi-award winning pottery, gift shop, cafe and gardens...

Aston Pottery is a multi-award winning pottery, gift shop, cafe and gardens in the quiet Cotswold village of Aston, Oxfordshire. Offering something for visitors all year-round, we are a fabulous place for all ages to spend an afternoon.

If you are interested in learning about the craft of pottery making we offer group tours and demonstrations throughout most of the year, or for those who want to get more hands-on you can decorate you own pottery every Saturday in our shop (due to popularity all activities must be booked in advance).

Our Gardens offer a spectacular array of plants, flowers, bees and butterflies from mid-April through to September and lunch in our cafe is not to be missed.

For those unable to visit us, you can learn more and browse some of our most popular pottery designs through our website.

We design, manufacture and hand-decorate all our pottery in our on site workshop using a unique combination of craft and industrial techniques.

Met up with some friends I hadn't seen for a while for lunch. Always lovely at Aston Pottery and we weren't disappointed. Delicious lunch, only had cheese scones but they were yummy. Only criticism is that they would have tasted even better if they had been warmed up with melted butter on them. Then we all had a wander around... More

Fantastic range of unusual and beautiful gifts to choose from. The range of pottery is always being added to and any design is available to order The cafe serves good quality lunches and has a range of beautiful cakes for morning or afternoon coffee In season the gardens are exceptional and plants can be purchased for your own garden.

The cafe is excellent. Lots of tables and lots of natural light. I like that they have different quiches on the menu including one without pastry. The salad was fresh and colourful. Definitely a filling lunch. Such a shame I hadn't left room for the delicious looking cakes. Next time maybe.

It is always a treat to go to a cafe which prepares it's own food (rather than buy it in). The quiches and cakes are superb - tis just a shame about the 'salad'. The days of undressed lettuce, tomato and cucumber are well over to me, as is 'coleslaw' or shredded cabbage in a white gloop. It would be... More

The cake at the pottery used to be fabulous and such a treat to take the children there after school. You had such a fool proof formula to success and you have well and truly lost your way now. The chocolate cake is dry and the scone wasn't a scone at all but a flat non-risen rock cake!! This you... More

A lovely place to browse for gifts - huge selection of Aston pottery plus many beautiful gifts. The award winning restaurant had a wonderful selection of homemade cakes and hot meals - we all enjoyed our lunch but were too full for cakes, unfortunately, as they looked amazing!

Aston Pottery is well worth a visit for an hour or two of browsing and shopping (for not only pottery but a broad range of craft-based items), plus a great, good-value cafe. Easy parking and lots of varied products on sale at reasonable prices - definitely recommended.

We reviewed Aston Pottery back in August and still stick with every word we wrote back then, the cafe was a huge disappointment. However we went back there today at my daughter's suggestion and were happily surprised to find the cafe had improved massively. The food was delicious especially the cakes and I was really happy to see that eccles... More
