From the church in Bouvignes it is a short climb to the ruins. From there, one gets an excellent view over Bouvignes and the Meuse valley. What an breathtaking view from the Meuse and from Dinant!! The place is very well taken! One big problem is reaching the Ruines. You can take a 'dangerous' track (not feasible for frail people) from the village or take a road and reach it from behind - will take 1/2hr walking. We visited Bouvignes on a sunny week end. Nice walk to the ruins but you need to know where to start the walk, as there is hardly any indications! even worse by car - not a single signpost! pity as the whole site has just been redone, and now secure to go around the site, even for small children and... More

The signs to get to the ruins are a bit rare, we had to find it a bit by ourselves. There were no explenations whatsoever about the ruins, we were the only visitors actually. A sign with some information about the ruins would have been nice.
