Tank was filled with local fish. Touch tank was fun. A lady cleaning the tank's glass spent 15 minutes explaining what we were seeing she was really, really nice and helpful. Her narrative made the visit!

A small, nice place with a lot of information on Alaskan fish and marine animals. The touch tank and the octopuses are the highlights. Great for rainy days (and there are quite a few on Kodiak).

Been here many times and each time the kids love it. Had a 2.5 year old that loved it when he first went and now he is 4 and still loves it. One place that I always take family to when they come to visit....More

I've learned interesting details about local ocean life, and the grandkids love it too. It's a little off the beaten path, but worth seeking it out. You can see samples of local fish and find out more about them and their habitat. This aquarium and...More

Crabs, halibut, and cod swimming in front of your eyes. What fun for kids... and adults. The touch tank is squishy fun! The view of the water is a delight. An amazing location for a research facility. So glad it's open to the public.

this was so neat. We got to touch live sea animals and they have this amazing fish tank/aquarium where you can see all kinds of under sea life.

If you have a car, getting to the aquarium isn't a big deal. The staff are friendly and can answer your questions. I went with a friend's child and had a blast. They have information walls, a small interactive game/information console, a pillar aquarium with...More

The building is actually a research facility, but it does have one large aquarium tank filled with local fish, and a touch tank for the kids. There is also a spectacular view of the water from the conference room.

We walked to the aquarium from our B&B on a beautiful day. The information provided was great - and the staff was very knowledgeable. The touch tanks were well maintained. Good way to spend an hour and learn more about the environment in this part...More

You can walk or take a cab, its not a long walk, over the bridge and follow the sign for AQUARIUM.
