Tiny museum, off the beaten track, with a fascinating history of airships and dirigibles. The hangar is immense! The curator was also very interesting, spoke excellent English, and overall, well worth a detour off the main road from Cherbourg to the rest of France.

This is a huge hangar where they kept zeppelins. There was an interesting film about how zeppelins work and then the hangar itself. There was a man inside strapped to a mini zeppelin thing and he was flying around. Good value too

We found this by accident but, hells bells, what a happy accident! There was a proper dirigible operating inside the airship hangar, and a demonstration of how explosive hydrogen is; the kids had a ball and so did we! Highly recommend this!!
