Back to Mae Phim and to the best accommodation Rim Talay Guesthouse! Such comfortable beds!!! Located near the beach/restaurants etc. Clean and tidy. Super nice couple who own it - where nothing is impossible! Quiet and peaceful area! There is an ATM a short distance away, also massages in several places.

Beautiful sand and sea, cleaner than many Thai beaches. There arent many tourist restaurants or beach bars here. Its a very quiet place, for local tourism. The few and far between restaurants are pleasant. Enough for a quiet few days away from Bangkok, not a party town and many be a disappointing destination if you travel here on holiday from Europe, but a nice get away from Bangkok.

Great beach. Pure chill-out. We lived in the Ocean View Residential Community. Such nice people live in Mae Phim - like family. Everyone looks after each other. We often went along the beach together and celebrated New Year's Eve in the Tequila Bar.

We stayed in three different places in Mae Phim. Two larger, well-known hotels and a smaller guesthouse, namely RimTalay guesthouse. This place won by many points. If you want to live peacefully and comfortably, with incredibly nice and helpful owners (Swedish and Thai), you should choose this place. Small, 4 rooms, impeccably clean and with the option of fixing your own breakfast. If you walk across the road, maybe 80 meters, you come to a wonderful part of Laem Mae Phim beach. There are lots of places to eat next to the beach. There were many small, details, at RimTalay guesthouse, which can be quite as important. Mentioning a few here: very comfortable bed, in addition to air-conditioning there was also a floor fan, microwave oven, plates and cutlery, egg cooker, kettle, hooks on the walls to hang things on, extra water, for e.g. coffee in addition to the two bottles that we got every day, possibility to wash off the feet just outside the entrance. If you want a quiet and relaxing time in Thailand, RimTalay Guesthouse in Mae Phim has to be the ultimate place. We were here in November. The weather was very good, warm of course and the water temperature very pleasant, at least 30 degrees. We who were here are pensioners and have been to Thailand a few times before.
