Good for a meander, get some coffee or donuts, look at the brick-a-brac and enjoy a slow Sunday. I bought a lovely hand knitted scarf. Lots of second hand books, toys and household items.

Visited on Saturday 29th February. There is not a lot to see after you have walked along the wharf area as most exhibts you need to pay to see inside.

There was nobody, but only myself, strolling the docks. It was sunny and peaceful on Tuesday around the lunch time. Nearby cafes were very quiet, too.

Get a view of the local area from the old lighthouse and some history in the displays for a modest fee. Some steep steps towards the top of the lighthouse.

Port docks area is refreshing and lively, plenty of great places to eat, river/dolphin cruises, home to Tall Ships, museums nearby and just the relaxed feel is energising.

We went there to stroll in the perfect autumn afternoon of Anzac Day holiday. After finding a free parking on the nearby street we went there to enjoy ourselves. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Really nice area to wander around and there is a huge market on some days as well. Nice views and worth a look.

It was a beautiful morning in Port Adelaide.
We had breakfast and coffee at a delightful coffee shop a block from the water (see separate review). Then a tour of the brigantine "One and All" -- which is moored at the docks when not out on a cruise. Took in a brief stop at the maritime museum. Then went on a driving tour around other spots in Port Adelaide.
It was a great day out.

Perhaps I’ve come at the wrong timing — weekday afternoon and the temperature on the street was climbing to a scorching 41°C. There was hardly anyone on the street. The buildings were quaint and we had a walk along the dock.
