Love this place!

Charming & cozy. The Guinness beef stew was amazing! There were a few musicians playing all afternoon. Bartenders were darling. Perfect afternoon stop. This was our 2nd visit... read more

Visited here on two occasions and it only got worse. Terrible service, rude staff. Made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable.. Food wasn't good. The cups, plates, tea pot were dirty.

Having been here years ago with my girlfriend/now wife, we were really looking forward to revisiting with the kids. Afraid to say I was underwhelmed. Food was bland and arrived at the table almost immediately after ordering. Never a good sign. Can't help but feel that the constant stream of tourists to the door have allowed the owners to take... My girlfriend and I stayed in Doolin 2 nights while traveling from Canada. We first went on a Sunday night and couldn't believe how busy it was. We understood why after eating. The food was absolutely amazing - like a 5 star restaurant but in a pub. Chowder, steak pie, and crab cakes. The live music was a nice touch.... More

I visited this place while I was going to Cliffs of Moher by a tourist bus. I really enjoyed meals being served there. Portions were really large and tasty.

I must confess that I was on a large bus tour when we called in to Gus O'Connor's pub for lunch and the thought of what the food and/or the service might be like when they only had 40 minutes to feed us all was rather terrifying. But they had it down to fine art and we got out tasty,... More

We were in Doolin because we were guaranteed music in the pubs. We were not disappointed with O'Connors. A small ensemble played on Thursday night while we had dinner and we returned on Friday night where we were royally entertained by 5 talanted musicians and singers. The pub was packed, wall to wall, but we managed to squeeze in and... More

We arrived about six for dinner and there was already a musical group playing. They continued until about 9, when another group took over. All excellent traditional Irish music. At some point, an older gentleman was persuaded to get on his feet and he proved to have a great tenor voice. He sang a Capella and gave us a wonderful rendition... More

This is the place for great service, good food and great music. We snagged a table near the music and enjoyed some of the best music we heard during our trip in Ireland. Tip: every table is numbered. Go up to the bar to order food and drink with your table number, pay and then in no time your food... More

We have been to Gus O'Conner's maybe 20 times in our trips to Ireland, and we go there for the atmosphere, the pub and the music. But since our last time there, they have a new chef and the food experience is extraordinary.! Where in the past you could safely order the Guinness beef stew, now the menu is full... More
