Take a ferry to the Aran Islands! You will not regret it. Great views of the Cliffs of Mother and excellent for pictures and taking walks.

The Doolin Pier has stunning views. You can walk along the rocks which is part of The Burren. Out across the water you are able to see Crab Island. The water from the Atlantic crashing against the rocks is site to be seen. Make sure you take a moment to stop by here and breathe in the fresh air and take in the view.

Went down to the pier to get a boat tour of the Cliffs of Moher, the views were spectacular. The boat ride was awesome and to see where they filmed lots of movies, like Game of Thrones. The boat crew were great.

We visited on a day when a 40mph onshore wind was sending the waves crashing down on the rocky shoreline. Spectacular. The ferry tumbled about on the ferocious surf like a piece of driftwood. The rocks on the shoreline all have geometric shapes, rather like the Giants Causeway. A rock pool heaven.

Great place to visit and all for a €1 car park ticket.

We took the ferry from the Doolin Pier to Inismor. It was an adventure due to the strong winds and heavy seas. But, we all returned successfully.

This is where the ferries dock and you can pay to take one out to the Cliffs which I hear is amazing but it was a really rainy day and sea was very rough so we opted just to stand on the rocks and take some photos.

Great views and exposure to nature. Nice to spend some time on the pier whether you plan to take one of the ferries or not. Can be very exposed to the elements.

Went went to Doolin to have look around but the town was way too busy absolutely no where to park. We went down to the pier to get a ferry to one if the islands but again no where to park. There is a big car park at the pier but it was so full and people everywhere, very busy. Now it was a bank holiday Saturday when we went but I still couldn't believe how busy it was.

It is very beautiful there. But I would recommend to go very early in order to get parking, especially if you plan on getting a ferry to the islands.

We walked from our b&b in town and easily accessed the beach and views from the pier. We even found a great cruise to view the cliffs while we were there!

Easy place to pass an hour or two just relaxing and watching the world go by.
People diving, surfing and swimming every day as well as the ferries and boats coming and going.
