The pottery will be no more. But it is being converted to a Gin distillery. Should be open some time next year.

The premises are closed following a serious fire.it is unlikely it will reopen again due to the extensive damage. It's a shame as it had been a popular local attraction for Dumfries and Galloway.

I would strongly recommend checking that this attraction is still open to the public. I read in local papers recently that it was permanently shut which really disappointed me as I had intended to visit regularly. Perhaps they will only be shut for a short time. Maybe Tripadvisor should look into this further on our behalf?

The only reason I say poor is due to the fact that they were closed due to the obvious fire damage and it was not stated on their website. We are big Arty fans so this was a bit of a disappointment. We really hope they get it up and going again before our next visit, it looked a fabulous... More

You pick a piece of pottery, don a overall, and your away, endless pots of paint, endless brushes, when you've finished your masterpiece its fired in an oven ( gas mk 4 , 30 mins ) There you go boxed up ready for home The... We noticed the 'cows' and the car in the tree as we were passing and were so intrigued that we turned back. Our little grandson loved climbing on the cows. We paid a swift visit into the cafe and showroom to have a look round but didn't have time to do the place justice. However, there were some beautiful items... More

Took the boys to what we had read as a pottery experience. Actually what happened was, the lady owner pointed at a cabinet of white ceramic plates, shapes etc. Once selected the boys put on aprons were placed at a desk with lots of paints, after ten minutes they had finished, the lady took the items away to put in... We unfortunately arrived on a morning when the owner had a surprise visit from some friends so after a very quick run through of what to do we were left to our own devices, without any further guidance while they all chatted over coffee. I realise when friends turn up unexpected you can't ignore them, BUT if you neglect your... More
