Abbey of Charroux

Interesting ruins of an abbey, dating back to Charles the Great/Charlemagne, so probably one of the oldest in the country!

Magnificent building, lots of beautiful stonework. In the centre of Charroux. Easy to park and easily accessible for disabled to view exterior of building, with a cafe just in front of it.
