we took the Sunset ticket for 3 hours, from 4pm-7pm, a family of 5 with kids 9, 13 and 16 and we all had a wonderful time - and 3 hours where enough.
Also, there where almost no lines and wait time which made it event greater.
Most slides are for sure extreme, which we loved, the place is clean, in the midde of the most beautiful sincery possibe, and our 9-year old that wasnt able to go on many of the slides, still found enough thrills to have.

We had a great day in the park. We took Megaswing and high ropes. Unfortunately via ferrata was fully booked. If you’re afraid of heights and speed, this is not your place, unless you do sunbathing and let the others take the risk. BOOK IN ADVANCE otherwise you may not be able to do anything.

A waterpark for the adventurous. Larg sunbathing area, a restaurant and bar.
Not for small children.

Canyoning and white water rafting and the instructors: 5 stars! But the customer service regarding the hotel or sleeping arrangements 0. At the end, better to really set your expectations low. You will hear trains, water takes 10 minutes to warm up, sad and dry breakfast. with the hearty price of 120€ a night- totally not worth it. Better stay somewhere else if you really want to have a proper rest. Plus they will blame you if you didn’t “check” properly what they offer. No sense of empathy or anything. The kind of “customer service” is based on what they are “allowed”to give you. Which is ok if they are extra nice about it. But no! Actually, I wouldn’t mind if they spoke in a way that makes us feel like they totally understand our situation but unfortunately they really can’t do anything but just offer another room and be just a bit more understanding and listening to us. But the best part is: they had to blame us that it’s our fault in the first place that we didn’t check properly their website. THAT IS IS OUR PROBLEM! What is that??!?! Is that the right way to talk to your customer? And they wonder why I got strong in my tone. Because this manager did not get any sense at all of how to empathize 😒 Makes people aggressive actually. So guys, lessons learned- we let them keep our money but we didn’t sleep there one more night. Not worth our vacation. Anyway they don’t care about our experience there in general. They won’t lose anything. But we, we don’t want to lose a good night sleep in a very good bed, no train sounds, with an amazing breakfast- somewhere else than that sad sleeping location.

Thank you for your review. We did also see the review from your husband. First of all, we would like to say that we are happy you've enjoyed our outdoor activities and we will definitely pass on praise to our guides. However, we think it's a pity that you could not keep your overnight stay and our double rooms in good memory. We're sorry that we haven't informed you about the location of the double rooms, we might have assumed that this location is not a disadvantage for anyone and did not think it's worth explaining. Making our guests aware of the location might be of an advantage for everyone, you're right on that. Your feedback helps us to further develop ourselves, thank you for writing such an honest one. We still hope we'll might see you again at AREA 47, maybe for one of our outdoor activities. All the best, Team AREA 47

Outstanding staff & service, incredibly fun outdoor activities! The most expert guides for rafting, canyoning, mountain biking, via Ferrata...you name it. The lakeside slides and diving platforms are a blast to watch or take on yourself. The wakeboard park/lake is phenomenal with jumps and obstacles and has a very comfortable lakeside house w drinks and food for those that only wish to spectate.

Accommodations are very comfortable, clean, modern and well maintained.

While all of the restaurants and food are excellent the River Haus offers some very special and delicious meals. Top quality chefs produce everything from fantastic steaks, to tasty and healthy bowls and salads. However, nothing could have topped the smoked brisket & spare ribs we enjoyed - PHENOMENAL. All cooked in a traditional style smoker by people who absolutely know what they are doing.

Love the outdoors and and having fun? Don't think longer, do yourself and your friends/family a favor and book Area 47!

I really enjoyed this place and found it super fun, however I was annoyed that I found women weren’t allowed on a particular slide yet men were? I understand for health reasons but surely make the slide safe for all genders and not just for men? That seemed pretty sexist to me but otherwise the place was ok.

Hi Olivia, thanks for your review. We understand your point and we definitely don't want to be sexist in any way. The slide was originally built for women and for men. However, there have been significant insuries with women going on similar slides in other waterparks the last years. Women do have another anatomy than man so we can not allow women to do it anymore. We are very sorry for this and we hope you will understand. All the best, Team AREA 47

The water area has some great attractions
The Cannonball surprises with its force when you sit inside and are thrown into the air.
Some water slides that are all fun.
The Free Fall Slide - it's fun and a great experience to fall down the slide from a height of 22 meters on a slope of 77 °. The speed costs a little overcoming.
The Kamikaze Slide makes fun, too

Rafting is fun. It was our first time rafting, but certainly not the last time. If maybe somewhere else. But lots of fun and one of the reasons for 4-star-rating.

The high ropes course - it takes overcoming to climb at a height of 27 meters, as well as strength. It's okay for everyone who wants to try it, but exhausting.

It's an action park, everyone should know that. If you are looking for wellness and relaxation, this is the wrong place: we did the high ropes course on one day and rafted the other day. We didn't book the other attractions. Sometimes there are unfortunately very long waiting times at the individual stations.
The restaurant is okay. At night you can dance and celebrate with music. I imagined Area 47 larger after the pictures.

Is okay. It's fun for everyone who likes action. Friendly guides. But smaller than expected. Lots of waiting. And also expensive.

This is a very fun park, in a great location and with many thinks to do.

So why, am I rating 1 star?

Short answer…because of their ZERO customer empathy. It is unfortunately that whenever issues arises, they are not able/willing to help clients. Area47 did not show any intention to go above and beyond to create a good customer experience, on the contrary, I was very unhappy with the lack of empathy showed from their side.

Definitively not an experience to repeat.

I've been wanting to go here for years and finally made it a few weeks ago. We did the hochseilgarten which was good fun but the setting was somewhat disappointing. From the pictures, we thought it would be amongst the trees but it was under a bridge instead - still cool, but not as pretty as I'd hoped. The ladies running the course were fabulous though.

The water park was soso - much much smaller than we expected from the pictures. While it was the summer, it was horrifically busy. There was no where to put a towel down to sit at all and I think we must have go the last locker. In the end, we went for some food and then headed off fairly quickly. Great for teens who just want to run about...less good for families (or anyone who wants to sit down while their kids run around...)

Thank you very much vor your rating and sharing your experience. Too bad that you did not like the high ropes course. With 27 metres in height, our high ropes course in Tyrol is the highest in all of Austria. We are happy to pass on your feedback to our guides. Especially in the high season and when the weather is good our Water AREA is very popular. Maybe you come visit us in the low season? Then you can enjoy our Water AREA to the fullest. Greetings, your AREA 47 team.
