    Well worth the visit
Great experience. Kieran, our guide, was comprehensive and encouraged questions. Im not a whiskey drinker, but have a new appreciation for it. Some stairs involved but they do have an elevator. Great food and whiskey pairings

Visited the distillery on Sunday with my friend who likes whiskey. Distillery was spotless clean, Ben the tour guide was very informative and I would recommend this tour. I am not a whiskey drinker and was driving however my friend really enjoyed the samples. Presentation of the samples was lovely.

If you’re a fan of whiskey and history, enjoy!
I booked tour tickets for us as a birthday treat for my husband while we were staying at the Powerscourt hotel which is only a 3 minute bike ride away. I won’t tell you any spoilers but Ben our tour guide was great! Very informative answering any questions we had. Very friendly and made everyone feel welcome. The place is so rich with history, not just within the distillery but across the whole estate. There is a cafe and gift shop on site where you can try and then buy the whiskey produced here or enjoy a coffee and a scone if you’re the designated driver! They had a whiskey ice cream available when we visited and it was beautiful.

    Very nice distillery
Very nice, very clean new distillery. The surroundings and the lounge are respectively wonderful and very cosy. The tour is really interesting. Not too much people, even in august, you can ask questions and get lots of details about the process. You taste three whiskeys, all of then good and interesting. I would greatly recommend a tour of the Powerscourt distillery.

    Fantastic tour
Myself and my husband love a tour. We’re up for anything and love a good teaching and history lesson. Hugh was our guide and by far the most outstanding and knowledgeable guide we have come across in our vast travels. He was so approachable, kind and patient. He was as interested in us as we were in the distillery. His manner was of such that it made us feel part of their distillery family for the afternoon. We highly recommend this tour to absolutely anyone even if you don’t really reach for a whiskey. Thank you Hugh for a stellar afternoon with you.

    What a wonderful tour.
What a wonderful tour set in such beautiful surroundings! Our guide Hugh was so knowledgeable and answered all the questions we asked! The tour itself was fascinating and the tasting room where we had a sample of three different whiskeys was very relaxing. Hugh talked us through all the different processes of distilling the whiskey and then the differences between the whiskies we sampled. The gift shop was very well staffed with very knowledgeable staff. All in all, the best distillery tour we have ever been on.

Tour Powerscourt Distillery, you will love the tasting.
We did the Powerscourt Distillery Tour and Tasting. Our tour/tasting guide, Hugh, was terrific. Great experience and learned some new distilling facts. Love that Powerscourt Distillery uses Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, as well as Wild Turkey, in their aging process.

    Irish hospitality at its best!
Ben was so informative and personable! I’ve been on a truly ridiculous amount of distillery tours, and this one is definitely in my top 3 tours. Very informative regarding both the Powerscourt distillery and Irish whiskey history in general, lovely walking route, and incredible welcoming staff throughout. The whiskey tasting at the end was delicious! I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.

    Distillery Tour
We went on the tour on a day trip from Dublin. They have a good coffee shop for a pre-tour refreshment, Then on with the tour with an excellent guide, Leon, who took his time to explain to us the intricacies of making good whiskey - it was very educational and worthwhile. The distillery was very clean, warm and comfortable. Then on to the warehouse with lots of "the good stuff" aging gracefully. All in all, a very worthwhile trip, much of it thanks to Leon. The tasting at the end was very enjoyable - and informative.

This greatly exceeded our expectations! We were a tad late due to a late arriving flight yet the front desk was so understanding and were able to accommodate us with the full tour. Our guide, Ben, was fantastic. He had just the right mix of knowledge of the distillery's history, combined with a entertaining delivery. I learned a lot on the distilling process and it made the tasting experience that much more enjoyable. Ultimately it matters how the whiskey tastes and the different batches we sampled didn't disappoint. We'll be back!

The tour was excellent and really enjoyed learning about the history of the property and their local approach to creating their whiskey. The highlight was tasting the whiskeys paired with local foods. It was all delicious and bought everything we could in the gift shop afterwards to take home with us!

My husband, his friend, and I did the tour & tasting with food pairings for their birthdays, and the whole experience was AMAZING! Fiona was our tour guide, and kept us laughing and learning the whole time. Even the two Irish lads learned a lot about the local history and the production of whiskey. The tasting with the food pairings was incredible -- really thoughtfully paired, and the food from local suppliers made the whiskey sing even more. Well worth the price, as you get nice healthy pours of whiskey. We decided to get a couple bottles on the way out to commemorate the day. Can't wait to bring more visitors to this spot!

Great distillery tour. They’ve done a fantastic job on the 2018 constructed building. We tried 3 whiskeys and got a lot of information about the whiskey making process and the decisions they made behind the scenes.
