We could see it and badly wanted to go for a walk along the beach but no matter what we tried we could not find a natural way down to the bay. As was raining climbing through long grass was not an option.

This is well worth a visit if you are in Buncrana at any time. Lovely little place right on the edge of the sea, with excellent parking and sure to be of interest even for children

This beach at Dunree Bay is beautiful and a real, hidden gem. Well worth the short walk from the road, the views are spectacular. Bring a picnic as there's nowhere close by, hopefully you'll be fortunate enough to get a good day.

The locals call this beach 'Portban' Truly a little piece of heaven on earth! Very long and quiet beach, often we had the whole place to ourselves including at sunset when the sun sets out over the bay, beautiful. Beach is accessible by walking along...More
