We played Ballybunion old and new. Personally I liked the new course the best but both courses were excellent and very tough. The views were magic but you need good weather to really appreciate both courses . We ate in the club house . The service was so so and the food was ok.

Played the old course on a beautiful day and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were wrecked for a few days afterwards probably sunstroke... but the experience was worth the pain. Beautiful views in a spectacular location. One more thing crossed off the bucket list.

Arriving in Ballybunion nearly worn out after keeping to a very ambitious schedule on my annual golf trip to Ireland, my mood and energy level immediately changed for the better. I love this place and I couldn't have been more ready to play golf all day. As always, I stay at 19th Lodge across the road (see my review), and... More

Well, there are numerous markers around the course reminding you of the regular clientele (Payne Stewart aced this hole... Tiger Woods and Mark O'Meara that... was told Sergio Garcia got a 9 on a hole I got a 10 on so I felt better about the feat). Until this day I had never tried to hit a ball out of... More

I played Old Head, Waterville, Tralee, and here while I was in Ireland. Ballybunion was hands down the best. Absolutely amazing course, and a must if you're wanting to play one of the best in the world.

I'm off 4 and thoroughly enjoyed the courses ...especially THE COURSE . It is undergoing a make over but in keeping with the dune protection scheme . Great challenge and a must if you are a links lover.

I was able to play this course under great conditions - 65 degrees and a 2 club wind! The course was in good condition, not great condition. Greens were in good condition, but the majesty and design is what makes this place exceptional. We used a forecaddie who was knowledgeable and fairly accurate with the reads. Play was quick enough,... More
