This was a lovely walk along the very well maintained board walk. We went late afternoon just before sunset and it was great to see so many people using it. There were people and dogs of all ages and speeds from toddling to jogging. A really good asset for the town :)

A fantastic way to take in the beach without having to get buggy wheels stuck in the sand 😀 Great if you find walking on the sand a little difficult. This beach is beautiful and has some great views of the surrounding coastline.

Lovely Boardwalk on the beach where people can enjoy the wonderful sea views ... It would be amazing if it could be continued out to red barn ... Love this stretch of the beach .

So worth the walk from The Quality Hotel to the town of Youghal or vice versa! Walk at your leisure or briskly...you choose!

Setting at the strand, is a relaxing atmosphere. You run into all kinds of people, from parents with kids, to young seniors just enjoying the day at the beach. The boardwalk gives everyone that relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy watching the storm's in a safe area. The morning runner's have plenty of room to run with beautiful sunrise's. Just minutes from town... Youghal is a quaint little town with a lot of history and fab beach. There's an old lighthouse that is not in operation and a few things closed like hotels, but it is still a fab place to go to get away from everything for a day or two.

I had memories of walking from Redbarn to Youghal from my youth so was delighted when I came across this additional feature. It was very pleassant strolling along with the optional seat en route. It was an exceptional day in October so views were great. Everyone we walked by was in good form. Highly recommend this for an afternoon stroll.
