A beautiful area in county Claire sitting alongside the Shannon river ,the village is seperated by a bridge sitting at the side of the river is Mollys resturant which the staff give you a warm welcome and the food is fantastic. On the other side of the bridge is the Anchor bar which is a must for us to visit... More

Now relocated beside the Roman Catholic Church. The building itself was saved from the rise in the river Shannon due to the electricity generating station several miles downstream. The area where the oratory is now located is the historic site of the banqueting hall of King Brian Boru defeated the Danes at Clontarf in 1014 AD. In those times Killasloe... More
