All the beaches in Donegal are breathtaking, but this one was my favorite as there are caves to explore and its a quick drive just outside the town of Ardara. On the way there you pass an amazing waterfall that you can stand right at...More

Best kept secret so do not tell anyone. Why these beaches are not visited is beyond me as the sand is golden and dunes delightful. Dogs welcome to chase their balls and views are magnificent. Do not why I am reviewing as maybe one day...More

We visited at sunset and the tide was low, which meant that we could explore the caves (they are located in the south end of the beach). The geology is spectacular! Please be thoughtful and at the carpark, located outside a farm, enter through a...More

Stunning beach with very clear waters and white sand. Caves are cool to explore but depending on tide, can be limited to 1. My disappointment would lie in the carpark outside. Obviously a family run business, they charge 3 euro for parking and a further...More

On travelling around the area went to the beach for a walk. Beautiful beach...not suitable for swimming. The caves are at one end of the beach and are beautiful. Tide times dictate wether you get inside. We didn't but still enjoyed the calm quiet walk...More

There were some boardwalk-type walks that got you out through the dunes, but to actually get out over the dunes and to the caves, it is all heavy sand. Depending on the time of day if you are able to get over the dunes, the... More

As far as I am aware you cannot camp here, in the 40 years that I have been coming here, I have never seen a tent. The nearest camping sites would be at Tramore, Rosbeg and Portnoo, both about 10 miles away (which isn't far... More

There is a parking lot at these coordinates: 54.762501, -8.527440 From there, walk up the road toward a lone farm house. When you get there, there will be a gate to your right. That is the entrance to the beach.
