My GPS suggested this route to get to Kilcar. I’m very glad I took the road less traveled. The winding road was fun and the visit from the car park was lovely.

My wife and I had this on our list of places to drive and we accidentally came upon it on our way from Slieve League cliffs to Ardara. Such a fun a beautiful drive, a true must if you are in the area.

Visited this location on the the day of the big storm. What a scenic drive. Even in the extremely poor conditions on the particular day the scenery was just wonderful. Well worth the visit.

I made sure to include the Glengesh Pass on our journey thru Ireland, but was honestly somewhat disappointed in the view. The road does wind down into the valley but not to the extreme that I had expected. Don't get me wrong, everywhere we turned...More

This is at the top of a narrow uphill climb from Ardura to the Slieve cliffs and is a real example of narrow Irish roads on which locals do not slow down. But it is safe and a good experience and shouldn't be missed in...More

Glengesh pass is worth a drive, but it is a bit harrowing if you’re not used to the hairpin bends and steep inclines. It’s one of those lovely hidden gems.

There is a lookout spot that comes upon you unexpectedly when approaching from the top. We were not able to stop in time unfortunately but would have had we known it was there. Signage in Ireland is not very good, typically.

And I didn't answer you about Glenveagh.... We stayed in Donegal two nights, then drove toward Glenveagh on our way to Lock Swilly. The weather was so bad that we couldn't go out on the coast to Malin Head or Fanad... More
