We made a brief stop here to hike Lady Bantry’s Lookout, a fairly easy trail that’s about 1 km each way with about 262 ft. of incline. The trail was well-signed and easy to find. It started out as wide dirt path, crossed a road and then turned into a staircase. At the top, we were rewarded with views of Bantry Bay and Garinish Island. Overall it was a nice break on our long drive. There looked to be several other lovely hikes to take here, with free entry and parking but no restrooms.

We did the walk past the river, forest and meadow. Took us an hour and a half roughly. No steep ascents and hardly anyone else around. Lovely.

This small fragment of a maritime coastal upland oak community is of great significance and value. Please keep it protected! Forest types such as these are tiny remnants of Ireland's ecological heritage and were reputedly cleared by British occupiers to deny cover to the occupied Irish. Moss'eriffic!

Few very good marked trails for everyone. Moderate trails are not hard at all, don't play too much attention to note that you need proper walking boots, normal shoes, runners are sufficient. A lot of resting spots, picnic places for families to enjoy. Big picnic area at main car park. Highly reccomend

It's hard to put into words what it feels like to walk through Glengarriff Nature reserver, especially on a good day. There are a few different walks (e.g., Lady Bantry's Lookout, River walk, etc) and all of them are absolutely magical. I absolutely love the river walk, especially if you come off the trail down to the river side itself, there's a few absolutely serene/zen-like spots which you have to stop and take in. Can't recommend the place highly enough.

Came here for a parkrun. What a lovely scenic place to visit. Great woods, Riverside walks etc. Really lovely place. Car parking free with boards advising on walks etc. Signposted walks. Will revisit with my other half to see the reputedly great views from Lady Bantrys lookout.

Great place to visit. We pulled in around 4pm and made dinner on the picnic tables. We had a lovely walk with a buggy despite the rain and stayed over for the night. We were up at 7am and back on the road and really enjoyed the respite. Met some lovely travellers who were also stopped for dinner.

We walked the mountains at the top of the nature walk so we drove through the woods until you could drive no more. Its a steep incline with many tight corners. Parking is limited to about 3 cars at the top. We were in the clouds while walking on top of the mountains. Driving through the woods I found thwy looked like a lovely walk with ample picnic benches

We visited the Nature Reserve on a beautiful day. The walks were absolutely beautiful. The kids loved the meadows and the river. It is perfect if you want to spend a few relaxing hours walking in beautiful surroundings. The Glengariff area is one of my favourite places and it really warrents a visit. With the Park and Gairnish Island nearby it's an amazing area.

Parts of it are accessible by wheelchair, but most of it involves trekking across country paths (occasionally uneven, steps up bridges, etc). If I was in a wheelchair, I'd give it a miss. Sorry.
