Absolutely amazing views from this lookout point on the Ring of Kerry between Waterville and Caherdaniell.
There's plenty of room to pull in and enjoy the views in both directions, back towards Warerville and down towards the Beara Peninsula.
Honestly, no words will do it justice, I've attached photos that will try to!

Most people drive up to the Coomacista Pass but you don’t have to. Park your car in Waterville and cycle up to the viewing area for a heck of a workout- or walk The Kerry Way out of Waterville (past Loher stone fort, signage on the famous walking trail is there!). Slow down and enjoy the views on foot!

After leaving Waterville and heading for Derrynane you just need to drive the Coomakesta Pass, with numerous stopping points to take in the most extensive and fabulous views. This is a must when traversing the Ring of Kerry.

The Ring of Kerry and the Kerry way come together at this pass. It's pretty special hiking up to the pass and then being presented with an amazing view over the other side. We decided to stop for lunch to soak in the views. I'm sure that the drivers on the Ring of Kerry would not have had the same appreciation for the pass as you do when hiking the Kerry Way.
