Stopped here on our way back to Dublin. What a neat pub! They have lots of history packed inside a small pub. Bartender was awesome! He explained the history and answered all of our questions. He even went above and beyond by showing up some old artifacts and a map with all the old surnames on it for us to... More

Very nice bar but is always busy so be prepared to stand or else get there early to get a seat. Staff are always very friendly even when they are under pressure.

This is the oldest pub in Ireland dating back to 900AD. Barman was friendly. We were on the tour for the Viking and they give you a voucher which allows 25% discount of Irish coffees. We enjoyed reading all the history. Very interesting and a cosy place to have a drink.

Quaint pub that probably appeals to transatlantic visitors The sawdust on the floor was a touch too far for me :)

Sean's is an authentic Irish pub. Great people, music each night, and plenty of beer. Keep in mind they do not serve any food. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Very quaint and full of atmosphere with sawdust on the uneven floor.. The Guinness was great and so was the cider. We sat in the room the back because the main bar was so full.

As we were in Athlone and parked right across the bar we decided to go in and have a look. From what we could see they only served drinks at the bar. The floor was covered in what looks like wood chippings. Once inside you get taken back in time and experience what it might have been like a few... More
