Lovely old boat, covered with roll up clear PVc sides in case of poor weather, comfortable padded seating, small bar, shop and tea/ coffee service below decks, along with male and female "heads" Very clean and tidy, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive owner and crew. All safety kit in evidence. Get down there!

I booked a trip on line with another provider for a 1 hr 15 mins trip from Athlone on Sun 21st may.It said to arrive 15 mins before sailing time which we duly did.However our boat was berthed the other side of the river with no one on board.Rang the contact number,got message answering.We walked back to where we should... My wife and I just finished a Vikings homeland cruise. The ship i'll only large enough for about 900 passengers had excellent enough space. There were several dining area's, Manfredi (Italian), Chef's Table, World Cafe and Explorers Lounge. The staff was excellent. Went on a trip with these guys ,,,,,,,,,,very pleasant lads and gave us loads of info about the area,,,,,,,,,,,,drinks were lovely,,,,,,servings craft beers and wine ,,,,,,,well worth the money,,,,,,a must when in athlone

A pleasant trip from the Hodson Bay hotel to Athlone. The captain gave a very interesting commentary throughout the trip Throughly enjoyed the 90 minutes.

I had my 30th birthday cruise last night, michael is fantastic so professional and friendly. A absolute please to deal with. Boat is spotless & roasting (inside heaters). All 16 ladies are looking forward to our next cruise. Thank u sooooo much michael x

We had a wonderful tour on Sunday last for my daddy's birthday! I spoke with Mike beforehand and we boarded at the Hodson Bay with 7 adults and a toddler. We traveled by boat to Clonmacnoise in 1.5 hours and later returned by bus in half an hour. Very enjoyable experience. Great commentary by the Captain all the way. - very informative. Very comfortable boat. Would recommend it to anyone
