Located on Howth head, is this lighthouse in our opinion is best seen by boat, it looks so majestic, sitting in its salubrious surrounds.

Enjoyed a lovely Christmas walk around Howth Head towards the beautiful Bailey Lighthouse. Its a beautiful setting looking out across Dublin Bay.
Didn't go in and I doubt that you can even in non-Covid times but it still represents a lovely sight to walk towards. The whole Summit and Head walk is quite magnificent to be fair. A great way to clear the post Christmas cobwebs!

The best view of the Baily Lighthouse is from Howth Summit looking down at it.
Yesterday the visibility was fabulous in fact it was the best ever. If you stop at the Summit you can walk down to the Lighthouse.

A breathtaking view! Up to the hill the lighthouse is the place that you dream to spent a night. Isolated in the hills away from everything . It was great to see it

Baily Lighthouse is one of the two lighthouses located in the Howth Peninsula (the other is the Howth Lighthouse). It is beautiful, but pitifully is not possible to arrive there by walk or car, because the entrance is close. We only can see it from far away. A good place to come if you stay in the surroundings of Dublin.

You cannot get right up to the lighthouse but it can be viewed from the Howth Summit car park and you can get close by walking the path along the cliffs from the car park.

We walked out to Baily Lighthouse on our Howth Walking Tour. The walk to get there did not feel long at all (although it was probably a couple of miles there and back) because the scenery was so beautiful. If you are in Howth- it is a must see!

Stumbled upon this trail when touring about North Dublin in the car. Howth summit is worth a visit even if you just stay in the car park. You can look back down the estuary to Dublin harbour and the Wicklow Mountains but if you feel energetic take the trail and walk down to Baileys lighthouse. The trail takes you quite close to the cliff edge but the pictures of secluded bays and rolling heather will keep you wanting to explore even more.
From the car park you can also turn towards Howth which we plan on our next visit
