Glorious beach but be careful of the incoming tide and strong currents. Access from car park is via a wooden walkway and bridge (about 3-5 min walk). Toilets at car park. Bring picnic as no other facilities (which is the way all good beaches should...More

What an amazing stretch of beach. Only thing missing is bins. (Esp for dog poo) went a number of times and Every Time is was different. Dogs loved it. Part of wild Atlantic way. The floating bridge wasn't built, so missed the ocean view.

Fantastic beach! So clean and unspoilt. The water was crystal clear and was safe to swim from. Lifeguards are also present on this beach. Such a pretty location. Highly recommend this beach to everyone!

This is a gorgeous, expansive sandy beach, backed by dunes. It's very unspoiled and not especially crowded. We were there in mid-August at the height of the school holidays. There are around 50 odd places in the car park so it would probably never be heaving....More

Barleycove is not accessible. There are not many accessible beaches in this part of West Cork but the best bet option might be Ballyrisode since the beach is more or less at the same level as the road but parking in that... More
