Off the beaten path with a scenic drive to get there. The stone circle is free of tourists, purely and simply peaceful and lovely. You can see the stones from the road, it’s a short walk on a path with Mountain views adding to the...More

What is there to say? The hike from the village to the stone circle is nice but no special. The circle itself is in pretty good shape but expect is nothing else but approx 9 large stones in a circle in a meadow,

I am not really into Gaelic circles - The best quality of this Stone Circle is that is in the middle of a nice 1 hour hike around Droum Wood and Castletownbere. Going west towards the little bech by the cove, and then uphill, you...More

Eerie and interesting - Old Ireland / Celts. Great views. The imagination went wild. There was mist, rain, sun - you name it. A good way to spend some time when driving through there

We visited this stone circle on our hike from Allies to Castletownbere. It is just off the Beara Way, and easily accessible.

This is a short walk from town and is a lovely, quiet place with the mysterious circle of stones. I highly recommend the walk.
