I would say don’t waste your time going to see Reese two. Pulley Mansion was impressive but it is fenced off. You can’t get very close to it. Dunboy Castle is a ruin because when the English attacked they destroyed it and we were told...More

It is such a pity that nobody can get in to see this Castle, especially with the magnificent History behind it. It is magnificent to look across at it, except for the monstrosity behind it, what is going on with the modern building at the...More

Don't expect much. Puxley mansion is fenced off and locked up. Never opened as a hotel as intended. Nice architecture but will become a ruin without investment. Mansion is surrounded at tear by ugly concrete townhouses or apartments that are also abandoned. Dunboy castle is...More

Dunboy Castle is interesting for its history, especially if a local gives the background for the story behind the castle. Puxley Mansion is currently closed and under renovation, but with no timeline.

The mansion cannot be visited and is surrounded by a temporary fence. The ruin is worth a visit if you are a member of the O'Sullivan Bere clan. Else you need a lot of imagination. The walk from the ruin is very nice but large...More

Park just inside the castle gates and walk to the ruin. The scenery is really worth taking in on foot. The abandoned manor is a massive sight albeit off limits. The ancient site is worth a pause for reflection. And all for free 😃. Be...More

Very cool history posted of Dunboy Castle Ruins as you walk up (especially if you're a Sullivan). One of the most incredibly scenic views looking out onto the harbor and ocean, beautiful! Free to walk around the ruins (not much left at all), fun to...More
