Amazing stone circle

Lovely part of the world and if you are in the area, swing by this place. Definitely worth a look. It's the surrounding area as well. N71 a lovely drive.

If you're around the place, don't miss it, as it is a very old piece of Ireland history. Take some food and enjoy the views, the place offers.

Travelling around Ireland in a van to see the sights, we stopped off after leaving Skibbereen to check out the stone circle. It's easy to find with a navigator using points of interest; and only a short walk from the carpark to the stone circle. Signs are provided to explain the significance and purpose of the stones, along with the... More

Drombeg Stone Circle is simply wonderful. I visited here with my boyfriend on Valentines day 2015, and it was such a sight to see. I Forgot to review it then, but felt I must after seeing some other stone circles recently. They all have been lovely with their own individual styles and differences, but Drombeg does not fall short and... More

I was actually pretty geeked to see this. I am very interested in stone circles, dolmens, old stones writing and carvings. If this type of thing interest you, you can purchase a map that shows locations of these sites throughout Ireland. I would also highly recommend you taking a trip up to Newgrange.

Feel some of the ancient sources of present day's Irish magic that still has some energy flowing. With information printed on signs for both the stone circle and ancient visitors accommodation.

Out of the way but well worth the visit. Wonderful site and a real stone circle! A great Stone Age find in Ireland.

The walk to the site is really beautiful . Bushes of Fuchsia line the pathway . Drombeg gives one an idea about the ways of the ancient civilizations.

To stand inside the circle is an experience. There were tokens placed inside the circle, we took a closer look but didn't touch a thing. The views here are amazing.

My wife had read about the Drombeg Stone Circle and it was a must-see on our recent trip around West Cork. we got there on a misty, overcast morning which was a perfect environment in which to explore this old and mind-blowing monument raised by an ancient people. Although small in size, the fact that these people laid this out... More
