We had some reservation initially on doing this walk (after walking around the lake at Killarney National Park the day before). However, we totally enjoyed it. Along the way, there are birds chirping and lovely views. Once we reached the lighthouse, the view is breathtaking as it is just beside a tall cliff. Do be careful and not stand too... More

Stunning views. Lovely family walk. Would have like an information board at the summit, especially explaining ruins of the RIC barracks at the top.

This is a very well laid out loop walk it is well worth it to do the whole loop. A lot of people seem to only go as far as the tower and go back down the path. There are great views of the Skelligs and if you go around the loop you will have more wonderful views of the... More

Love, love, love this walk. The first bit to the tower has great views over to the mainland and is a steady climb on a good surface but beyond the tower the views towards Dingle , the hills further up Valentia Island and over the river to Portmagee are just spectacular. The track is rougher so far fewer people make... More

Lovely walk on a lovely sunny day, we we're blessed with good weather. Moderate level of fitness required, takes about 2 hours but we were more like 2 and half because we took our time to enjoy the sights. Great view for the Blaskets and Skelligs. Obviously this is part of the wild athlantic way so other than markers nothing... More

It´s a great hike, that i can really recommend. As always, it´s just the annoying parking fee that spoils it a bit.

Took a walk up to the head with my two teenagers. The weather was fantastic so this helped. On the way up over to the left there are fantastic views of the sea cliffs and Portmagee. Its a bit of a walk to the top so proper walking shoes or boots are needed. My youngest was suffering( or so he... More

Don't miss this hike with some of the best views of the Wild Atlantic Way, Skellig Islands, flowers of many colors along the path, cows lounging on the green cliffs above the ocean, sheep grazing on the grasslands on the tip of the land above the Atlantic, and a perfect workout! We are a family of 5 and this was... More
