Coming along. Nice oasis.

The eastern part is really nice and enjoyable. Take care crossing the Killarney Road. At the western end, the walk fizzles out a bit and could do with some signage. Well done to... read more

Lovely, safe walk, where you meet loads of locals and lots to see and gives you a real feel for Castleisland. The Old Mill, the Church and you can deviate off it at loads of bridges and head down the Main Street and do lots of shopping! Great shops and coffee shops as well.

If you are in castle island then this is a delightful walk to do. Very accessible, just round the back of the main street. Very relaxing and well maintained, at the same time, not very busy and beautiful scenery. Definitely worth doing in the afternoon or evening.

It's peaceful & quiet. The flow of the river is relaxing & on occasions there are ducks to watch & enjoy.

this would be a lovely walk only for continually having to mind your step in case of stepping in dog dirt. So avoid especially if you have a buggy because you wont see it until it is too late. There are loads of dog walkers using this walk, yet none of them seem to clean up after their pets. The... More

A very pleasant walk that runs parallel to the main street in CastleIsland but seems miles away. There are water birds to be seen and seats at intervals. At one point the ruins of the Castle can be seen (but not visited).

Lovely stroll along what had been the moat. Birds, vegetation, babbling water. Unfortunately, we did spy some trash that found its way into the water.
