We went on this trip as part of model railway visit . We took the scenic route on coast road . The girls were delighted to sit and enjoy people waving as we thundered through the narrow roads to inchydoney . This beach is a must visit when you come to a West Cork . The place was buzzing parking... More

I've never seen a beach quite like this -- there were literally miles of sand because it was low tide when I drove by. I then read somewhere that the tides in Ireland are at their lowest in September. So, not only is the beach famous for its beauty, but it's eerie at that time of year because of the... More

Great place to take family and friends in West Cork. Beautiful views and easy access. Traffic can be an issue during the Summer months though.

The beach is a 10 minute drive away but worth it. The tide was out when we were there so we were able to go for a long walk. Rain or shine I'd say it is lovely spot to visit.

A book store owner in Clon suggested I head over to Inchydoney Beach before I drove back to my place in Leap. What a treat! Clean beach backed by cliffs and dunes. Breathtaking endless views of the sea! Meditative and super relaxing to watch to the sea. Lodge is a great place to get a coffee and scone while watching... More

Went to Inchidonny on Sunday, a glorious day , beach spectacular, made a wonderful seaside walk. A lovely spa hotel, clean public loos and very often nice kiosks for refreshments

Just a short drive from Clonakilty..approx.4-5 mins, and you arrive to the beach with a large bay.Even though it was overcast the veiws made it worth while. We took a short walk on the beach and went for a coffee at the hotel that overlooks the bay.

This is my favourite West Cork beach. There are actually 2 long beaches, one each side of the hotel. I go here regularly to walk with my energetic collie dog. When the tide is out there are miles of sandy beaches for her to run, chase balls and make friends. I stay away during holiday weekends especially if it's sunny,... More
