Decided to take my 2 year old grandchild to the Tom Ruane park on a Sunday afternoon. This park has everything you could ask for with climbing gadgets swings sandpit and many more. It's so long since I had done this I felt like a child myself. The park is on the banks of the famous river Moy in Ballina... More

A great space where kids of all ages can enjoy themselves. On the banks of the Moy. Strange to think that it used to be a rubbish dump with only sea gulls having fun in there!!!

Very well maintained playground which my children loved. It is within walking distance of town and is a super place to spend an hour.

If you are a family with kids who want to spend a few hours in fresh air, on brilliant playground equipment in superbly maintained areas, then visit this park and you won't be dissappointed. Toilets and picnic facilities available. A great safe free amenity.

We happened upon this playground while visiting Ballina. I must say it is one of the best playgrounds my children have visited. The area is very well kept, it was busy on the day we visited but there was still plenty to keep all kids occupied. There are portaloos onsite. Lots of green areas for a picnic...if you get the... This is a lovely park which is well maintained with a good mix of different facilities. We bought bread and looked for the ducks but we didn't see them on the day we visited. Give it a try, your kids will love it!

Kids love this place - if it's dry then we were there pretty much every evening during the summer holidays. Lots of swings & slides for the younger ones - the zip wire is a big favourite - and the all weather basketball & soccer area is perfect for the older ones. Well maintained, safe & free. Highly recommended
