Description:

Molly Gallivan’s cottage and traditional farm invites you to take a step...

Molly Gallivan’s cottage and traditional farm invites you to take a step back in time to experience the simple country lifestyle in rural Ireland before the days of electricity and modern conveniences. Molly’s enchanting cottage is over 200 years old and her farm is complete with animals, fowl and traditional farm machinery.

Molly’s old Tea Shop is very unique in Ireland, here you will taste locally made foods cooked and baked in the traditional fashion.

We also hold traditional Irish evenings at Molly Gallivan’s cottage, these are nights of Irish food, music, song, dance and story telling, re-enacting the old customs that took place in Irish homes. Advanced booking is required for our Traditional Irish Evenings please contact us for availability and prices.

Had 2 visits to this attraction in County Kerry on our week of walking in South West Ireland. First visit was at the start of a walk in the Bonane Valley then we went back for one of their Traditional Homecoming Evenings later in the week. After spending time looking around the well stocked shop we had the film show... More

The linens and knitted goods are outstanding. Along with edibles such as chocolates mixed with Irish whiskey! How could a stop at this place be a bad move. Enjoy!

And order an Irish coffee to take with you on the tour. Pet the donkey. Feed the pig. Then buy a sweater. You're day will be made.

What a fantastic experience. Please reopen this. Nothing compares to the magic that you have created. To see Santa coming down the chimney. Walking through the farm. See the work shop. Fantastic video, singing etc. Just loved it. Please bring it back.

I had the pleasure of visiting this 'Hidden Gem' with a tourist group from the U.S.! Our host Steven was fantastic explaining to the visitors the history of Molly's 'sheebeen' and how life was in rural Kerry when he was growing up. At the end of an amazing tour of the farm, the group were introduced to 'Uisce Beata' aka... More

Very much enjoyed our stop at Molly Gallivan's farm. They couple running the establishment are committed to keeping this slice of history alive and active of others to see. They do a wonderful job detailing the history. The gift shop has quality goods that are very reasonable, the tea is hot and the scones delicious. Well worth the stop and... More

On a cold, rainy morning we visited Molly Gallivan's Cottage and Farm and enjoyed the coziness of her little stone cottage, where we warmed up with a steaming cup of tea and a freshly baked scone. There was also a great selection of Irish woolens (sweaters, scarves, hats, etc), jewellery, and other handmade items for purchase in the cottage. The... More
