Not as good as in previous visits. Felt very much the outsiders and observers when in previous years people would engage with visitors. Had taken our younger boys to increase their knowledge of their love of trains Husband missed out on most of train ride...More

What a lovely place, hidden in the village of Lavendon, perfect for a trip out with young children. The tea room is lovely and clean, and serves excellent cakes

You have to ensure that the railway is running, easy to check online. Look out for the brown train signs or it can be hard to find. Highlight is a return trip on the train to the sand quarry that the line was built to...More
