Well preserved complex of the ruins of second Bulgarian capital. Should be accompanied with visit to the Archeological museum, where one can see pottery, jewelery and the reconstruction of the city. Combined ticket for both sites is only 3€

It is a special site indeed. Stones of Veliki Preslav speak to visitors and surroundings take their breath away. It is crucial to wonder around this ruins and contemplate their past, it truly was one of the greatest cities in medieval Europe. Make sure you...More

For me, as a Bulgarian, I am proud of our history and this place has been our ancient capital when Bulgaria was an Empire! I wish it was better preserved, but the museum and the church are nice to visit.
