Paid £25 per person for a 3course meal Starters- garlic mushrooms, I expected the mushrooms to be in bread crumb but it wasn't, it was sautéed in a creamy sauce, which was ok but it was heated up enough. Mains- roast beef, potatoes and veg. Awful. Beef obviously bought in and reheated. Vegetables were frozen veg, mushy.... potatoes were rock... More

It's a nice place to eat, the staff are lovely and I've had good food here, but today's lunch was not good, a long wait (40 minutes) my beef dinner arrived and I wanted to enjoy it but it was overcooked and didn't taste as beef should, the 'roast' potato was deep fried the Yorkshire Pudding soft and unappetising, a... Visited Brownlow House as part of a group , The building itself oozes history, brilliantly and sensitively restored ,it is a perfect setting for almost any function . The meals menu is truly amazing ,with staff to equal it. From a trip to The worlds biggest Orange Hall to the perfect Wedding?conference venue Brownlow house would be hard to equal... More

Impressive building now predominantly used as a function and conference centre, other than a tearoom which is open to the public. Generally there are no tours, of which we were aware, but there was a WW2 exhibition in the basement when we visited, which was interesting. We had hoped for a nice afternoon tea, but the tearoom had run out... More

Had tour of building and even got on the roof on the European Open a Day. Returned a few days later to view the World War Two exhibition, very impressive. First class lunch in the restaurant and then a walk around the adjacent Lurgan Park. Great day out.

Just had another lovely lunch in the tea rooms. Broccoli and Stilton soup and a sandwich. Lovely food, pleasant staff, beautiful surroundings, easy parking. Why go anywhere else.

Visited here for European Heritage Weekend. It's really just a very big, impressive house that is sparsely furnished downstairs, we didn't go upstairs because the tour had left and connecting doors were closed. The tea-room however is fabulous, lovely food and the service was very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed the WW2 exhibition down in the basement which was... More

Great coffee and scones! Choice of seating - table and chairs, or comfortable settees beside a lovely old open fire. Lots of parking space. Friendly staff.
