Really interesting museum, packed with plenty of easy to understand information. Brought life in the days of workhouses into perspective. Good material for children to get involved with, interaction and role play. We’ll be back with our grandson.

Thanks for your lovely review. Although sections of the workhouse are not accessible to visitors, just over a year ago we opened and refurbished the Main Block which has greatly expanded the museum's offering, giving access to many more workhouse rooms such as the schoolroom...More

Those where very dark time's for people and children who lived in such places this place opens your eyes to see how they lived there life's there very interesting indeed.
