Beautiful walk to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern day, one downside loads of cyclists who don't care if you are walking and some do whizz past without warning.

Chesterfield canal offers lovely walks in peaceful traffic free environment. Either stroll a section taking in the traditional all Mill pub. Or add part of the Pennine way to make a circular walk of 10 miles around Chesterfield. Excellent for cycling too.

Followed Chesterfield canal path all the way to staveley then headed across to rother valley country park. Nice and easy 20 mile ride there and back and surprisingly nice views along the way. Also lots of spots along the way for free parking.

Went on a cycle ride with friends and also did the boat trip. We started at The Hubb where you can have a drink and a bite to eat. I highly recommend it.

Had a lovely walk with family along the Chesterfield Canal on Bank Holiday Monday. Unfortunately by the time we got to the café it was closed. We walked up to the Lockoford inn and enjoyed drinks there before our walk back.
