I will preface by saying that I also visited the Guiness storehouse and the Midleton Distillery in Midleton. As opposed to those tours, Bushmills is a tour of a working facility. It runs the gamut of cold and wet, to hot and steamy and smelly in some of the different rooms. Our tour guide may have been a bit jaded,... More

Definitely worth a visit. Our tour guide was so interesting. Explained the processes very well. Sample at the end was very nice. Also purchased a21yr old. Excellent. Bar staff were very helpful and happy to allow folk behind the bar for photographs. One of the guides is a whiskey collector and was so interesting to talk with. If you're in... More

Really impressed with Trevor - our guide. He answered every query and question asked fully and without any need to further clarify. Brilliant site your. Impressed with the overall cleanliness of the site - in every location. Great indication of how wonderful a site now 408 years old still functions as well as ever! I enjoyed the token samples offered... More

We visited the distillery on a cold Thursday afternoon. There is plenty of parking space & it is conveniently located just on the edge of Bushmills town. Pre booking was not necessary though I suspect in the summer the crowds would be bigger & you might want to plan accordingly. We were offered a 'hot toddy' on arrival which was... More

We stopped in on our way down from Belfast to Galway and were not disappointed. Our tour guide, Trevor, was very knowledgeable and did a tremendous job explaining the distilling process to us. The price was cheap and well worth the money! We ate in the kitchen by the bar before we left and the kitchen staff were so incredibly... More

I am now a veteran whisk(e)y tourer and this was very similar to all the others. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide (Julie). The main building is on all Bank of Ireland bank notes which is a nice touch. The tour is interesting and really nice to listen to the history. The whiskey is certainly excellent.

A must do for any dedicated whiskey buff. A god tour at a reasonable price with a tot to finish off. If booze is not you thing, visit the coffee shop for good food and nonalcoholic beverages. The gift shop provides good value for money gifts and mementoes.

The distillery is about an hour north of Belfast, perhaps difficult using public transport, but certainly a straight forward car drive. We visited the distillery on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately the factory was not producing any whiskey the day we visited, if planning we would ensure we visited on a production day! The tour is great value and includes a... More

Ancient buildings housing a famous whiskey distillery. The guided tour has a lot of steps but it is worth the effort... and he tasting at the end.
