Castle ruins very interesting with great veiws of the Towy valley. Dogs allowed but always on lead as there are sheep around. Lovely spot.

On a bit of a damp and misty day, we ventured up to the Castle. Lovely view of the river. Bit muddy underfoot so make sure you bring wellies or good walking boots. Picnic area in the car park very muddy.

I've been fortunate enough to visit many places in my life, but this one is unique. Most castles are on top of hills, and this one is particularly steep, but I've never visited one with a village at the top. The remains are enough to...More

Worth the short steep climb to the castle ruins - the views of the valley were beautiful. The information boards were helpful to give us a brief history of the castle. Many sheep around the hill therefore an abundance of sheep poo underfoot which was...More

We found this with our sat nav while driving through Wales. Close to the road, with free car park we had to check it out. Not much left of what it was once a great castle but the views are well worth the climb.

Well worth the climb up to the castle to look at the views. Lovely views in each direction. Steep hill so not great for people with mobility issues. Small car park across the road. Great spot for a picnic.

Just dropped by this place as we were in the area. Parked in a good free car park, no one else around. A short hike saw us up the top with splendid views in all directions. There were plenty of display boards which gave a...More

I don't like narrow roads but I found it easily accessible in a car. Hope this helps.
