Tala Monastery Cat Park is a MUST for any animal lover with a passion for cats - it is amazing to experience first hand how this cat sanctuary, which, 5 years ago, was nothing but an open space where a group of volunteers fed stray cats, has developed into the site it is today! It is run solely by a... More

This is the third time we have stopped off at St Neophytus (tala) cat park and each year it seems bigger and better. Amongst so much meanness and nastiness in the world, this is a place of kindness and compassion shown by the founder and volunteers towards abandoned and stray cats, of whom there are many. The cats are well... More

We have been here before but it was closed today as we arrived late. However, what a great place and the care these cats get is outstanding and humbling. We will return as like to give some monies when here. The cats greet you the minute the car arrived and as you can see , they are not afraid and... More

We visited in July 2016 when our friends Mark and Vicky who live in Cyprus took us here. Dawn and the other volunteers do a fabulous job of taking care of the many stray cats brought to them for looking after. They are in need of every penny they can get so please if you visit Cyprus go and see... More

I had the pleasure of visiti the Tala Monastery Cats on two occasions whilst visiting Cyprus. Dawn the lady who set this place up and has a team of exceptional volunteers, to look after abandoned and stray cats, who works every single day of the week without any funding from Cyprus government, all done via donations, is now looking after... I'm a huge cat lover (have 5 cats, 2 of whom were rescued from Cyprus). I was worried that I'd be upset at the sheer volume of cats, but left feeling good. These wonderful volunteers know every cat by name.. (think they now care for in excess of 700 cats and kittens). There are plenty of hiding places, stimulation, good... More

My partner and i are BIG into cats, we have 3 of our own so this place was a must. We were a little worried that it would be run down, with lots of injured cats but we were wrong! The staff do a AWESOME job of keeping the place going, and i envy what they do in their spare... More

Not a typical tourist attraction, but well worth a visit if you are a cat lover. We dropped by and were welcomed by the volunteers who do a great job looking after 100's of unwanted cats. Some cats are friendly and like the attention others like to keep themselves to themselves.
