These are really hard case and certainly worth a look. Maybe not the cleanest toilets in the world, be careful of the uneven floor!

Go even if you don't need to go. This is the most amazing loo in the country. clean , but not comfortable. pop in oin for a pee on your wanderings around Northland

Just had to stop and have a look (and make use of the facilities) useful information leaflet available outside and further work by the artist across the road. Follow the path to the left to find the 24 hour car park loo.

Whimsical toilet block to be extended to become a cultural centre. A masterpiece in mosaic, etc. Didn't actually use it, come to think about it.

Heading North you drive through Kawakawa and these quirky loos are amazing - the interior being just as eyecatching as the outside - mosaic tiles and coloured glass. The town makes a good comfort stop as there are several gift shops and refreshment outlets.

I know tourists love to find a toilet but this crazy toilet is not only clean and well located, but it is spectacular, arty, like a bit of Gaudi in the far north of NZ. What a clever town Kawakawa is, and of course other...More
