About
Grinzane Cavour Castle stands in one of the most spectacular settings in the Langa, just 5 km from Alba. The imposing building, erected around a central tower dating back to the first half of the XI century, can be admired in all its original beauty following the restoration that began in 1960, in celebration of the first centenary of the Unification of Italy. The Castle now houses the "Cavour" Regional Enoteca, the first to be set up in Piedmont in 1967. This is a prestigious showcase for the very best Piedmontese wines and grappas, foremost amongst them being Barolo and Barbaresco. The wines undergo a strict selection process before being displayed and placed on sale along with leading local food products. Tastings possible.

If you are around and you have a couple of hours I’d recommend to stop at this lovely castle. It contains a wine museum inside and some artifacts about count Cavour and his lifestyle. It’s nothing that special to put it on a must see list but it’s quite a nice place to visit on a beautiful day. There is a store on the ground floor where you can purchase wine and some typical products from the area. In the castle is also a 1 Star Michelin restaurant. There are vineyards around and the view is very pleasing for the eye. We spent around 1-1,5h there.

There may be some historical and tourism value here, but the people who rent the conference rooms are the most absurdly unprofessional people I have ever encountered in my life. They offer a bid, then refuse to answer any questions about it. Just pay the 100,000€ and shut up. They ignore emails for weeks and finally make up idiotic reasons for wasting your time. The people running this place couldn't be more vile.

on the old website they do not specify you’ve got to book, otherwise you’ll be forced to wait forever outside in the sun. It is unbelievable how such a big organization can lack in the basics of communication

A stunning 11th century castle, built and expanded across the subsequent centuries, in a dominant position on the top of a hill, with a breathtaking 360° view on the surroundings, especially on the world famous vineyards of the Langhe, aligned in precise parallel lines like well combed hair, alternated with just as well kept fields cultivated with hazelnuts, another of the local essential crops of the region. Inside, the Piedmontese Regional Wine Shop, where one can find some among the finest wines of this area and, thus, of the world.

Located discretely inside the castle, we reserved for lunch at this 1 Michelin star restaurant and were not disappointed with our 5-course tasting menu for 110 euros each including pairing with wines. We were seated in a private room with a panoramic vista of the countryside & attended to by the Chef's wife (American of Italian origin.) The Chef is french & has added some French influence to cooking local culinary dishes. Gracious setting, environment & superb food. 2-hour meal. Way to go.

Just a few minutes outside of Alba, this castle and the grounds were very well maintained. A perfect place to have a picnic and take in the vineyards and very quaint town below the castle.

The views are fenomenal and the walk around the castle through the vinyards is a must. The museum is also amazing, learned so much. Highly recommend a visit!

Lovely castle with lots of history and a Michelin stared restaurant. The audioguides are quite informative and the views from the castle's terrace and the rooms is lovely. Lots of steps - not appropriate for elderly

We actually found this accidentally, and then saw it was in all the travel guides. Great museum, food, shopping, tasting, beautiful rounds. Free parking in several places nearby.

Terrific location and views. Museum quite educational and enjoyable ; particularly liked the video on truffle hunting from the dog's perspective. Had one of the best meals of my life at the restaurant there (not the cafeteria.)

Buongiorno, volevamo fare una visita al castello portando con noi anche la nonna.
Ci sono percorsi per lei inaccessibili o molto difficoltosi ? a casa abbiamo 3 piani di scale quindi a meno che non siano ripidissime non sono un problema.
Grazie mille a chi risponderà
