This is the perfect afternoon out if you want a relaxing walk in lovely scenery. You can take a boat trip up the canal at certain times and there is a lovely coffee shop with seating just before the tunnel mouth.

My 5 year old was a little scared of going into the tunnel, so just booked the 30 minute trip. Well worth the money, all 3 children and 2 adults thoroughly enjoyed the ride, the museum and play area. Great wallk along the canal path,...More

This is a hidden gem in Marsden. Great choice of reasonably priced food. Great outdoor seating by the canal. I love the chicken salad washed down with a glass of cider. I highly recommend this café!

Very interesting place. Super friendly staff on the canal boat trip. Book your ticket as soon as you arrive as the boat fills up quickly. Nice cafe. Reasonable prices.

I do not know about trips but feel that a short trip is the best if you have claustrophobia. It is over 3 miles long and has a low roof which was necessary to be able to propel a barge along the canal. You will see how this... More

You can just turn up if you are going on the trip boat. If you are on a canal boat and want to go all the way through you need to book.
