We knew nothing about Dutch Water Gardens, so were fascinated to learn that there used to be 100 of them in Gloucestershire alone when there were all the fashion. The excellent custodian explained their history and then we spent 2 hours wondering around and sitting...More

Easy to find and adequate parking available, very friendly and informative welcome. Go up the pavilion for a grand view of the gardens and then walk at leisure, easy paced with everything accessible for all. Beautiful gardens, small canals, amazing hedges, and the most benevolent...More

We popped in for approx 45 mins. It isn't extensive but in the height of summer it was lovely. English gardens tend to be dominated by Capability Brown style gardens and this one in a Dutch style, pre Brown is a rare survivor and makes...More

Had last visited about 20 years ago. Clearly a lot of time & money has been invested since then in the ongoing restoration of this little gem. Well worth stopping for!

Went to see this after watching the 'bore' at Newham - surprisingly good fun. What a beautiful well kept garden. Couple of updates to the Nat Trust book. There is toilets available on site and the kiosk sells teas and coffees. It would be a...More

Beautiful formal gardens surrounding a T shaped canal, which contains Koi Carp. Topiary, ancient trees, parterres, summer house, a two storey Dutch pavilion and much more, all surviving from the early 1700s. The house unfortunately is no longer there, amazing that the gardens survived albeit...More

A lovely small garden for all to access including seniors and infants. Enough space to just casually wander around at your leisure and plenty of rest stops in the shade. Beautiful tulips at this time of year too.

If the weather is dry, bright and sunny and you'd like a little floral tranquillity then you will enjoy a visit to this place. If you enjoy photography at quaint historical sites with small, tastefully ordered gardens then this place will afford you an opportunity...More
