We spent one rainy day with a hired taxi to see the length of Long Island. We threw in our snorkeling gear just in case and good thing: we wouldn't have wanted to miss the underwater view of Dean's Blue Hole.

This place is magnificent, one of God's beautiful creation indeed. The beach was shallow and clear and all of a sudden the blue part reaches down the ocean floor. Amazing!

We went to Long Island really for the blue hole. We headed to the blue hole to snorkel around 11. There were more people at the hole than I had seen on the island the entire time. I spent about 45minutes snorkeling. I saw about 10 varieties of fish. There was one place on the ridge had probably 300 fish... More

It was a very rough road getting to the beach, but it is in a beautiful inlet with sparkling turquoise water. There is a platform in the water over the hole where the free divers descend. There wasn't a sole there and it was very windy so we didn't stay long.

Went here and actually met deep divers. They were practicing for the upcoming competition at the end of the month. Very beautiful!

Amazing place for swimming, on a stunning semi-circlular beach, good snorkelling around the perimiter of the hole

We stayed near Clarence Town for several weeks so we visited the Blue Hole several times. There is plenty of beach beyond the hole to walk on, clear shallow water to play in, the blue hole to swim in and over, hike up the rocks for a huge view, and jump off of the cliff if you dare. A couple... More

I was curious to see what people were saying about Dean's Blue Hole now since I experienced this back in 2001. Sounds like there's been no real change over the years since it's off the "beaten path" of tourism. My friend and I were the only ones there for the time that we visited. We snorkeled around and over the... More

I see another reviewer describes this sight as "subtle." That may be an understatement -- one sign on the main road, no concessions. When we visited, the beach was clean and welcoming. The water is so clear that, just standing in ankle deep water many fish are visible. For much of our family's visit, we were the only people there.... More
