We were driving through Gowan and saw the church. What a tremendous place for Irish history. Gerry did a wonderful job of putting hundreds of years of history into his tour. This fascinating site is worth the trip.

from the road it doesn't look as impressive as it is but it is worth to stop by and take approx. 20 minutes to have a look at this pearl of medieval architecture
